The Heritage Palms Charitable Organization (HPCO) was formed because we believe in the power of generosity, compassion, and caring for one another. When an HPGCC employee is facing a difficult time, our Community comes together to offer a helping hand—and our Treasurer plays an important role in making that support possible.
We are looking for a new Treasurer to join our HPCO Board of Directors. This is a meaningful opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, is organized and dependable, and is familiar with QuickBooks.
Our Treasurer helps keep our financial house in order while supporting the programs that enable us to help employees in need. Responsibilities include:
- Recording donations and maintaining financial records
- Preparing year-end contribution letters for donors for tax purposes
- Writing checks for employees who qualify for HPCO assistance
- Helping support and coordinate our fundraisers
- Working with the HPCO team to ensure donations go where they are needed most
- Filing annual state and federal forms
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Miriam Shook for her superb work as HPCO’s first Treasurer and for the dedication, care, and expertise she has brought to establishing strong financial systems and processes. We are especially grateful for her willingness to train her successor and share the knowledge and tools she has put in place, helping ensure a smooth and successful transition.
The volunteer who steps into the Treasurer’s role will help turn the generosity of our community into real support for HPGCC employees in need. Together, we can continue to make sure that no member of our HPGCC family has to face a difficult time alone.
