The HP Book Club will begin the 2026-27 season on Friday, October 23, at 2:30 p.m. in the Activity Center. We will discuss Foster by Claire Keegan. The novella tells the story of a young Irish girl sent by her overburdened family to spend a summer with distant relatives on a rural farm. In her new home, she finds warmth and affection she has not known, and slowly she begins to blossom. One reviewer called it “a story of astonishing emotional depth that showcases Keegan’s great talent and secures her reputation as one of our most important storytellers.”
