The HP Book Club will meet on Friday, November 20, at 2:30 p.m. to discuss Buckeye by Patrick Ryan. Set in a fictional small town in Ohio, the story covers a half-century in the lives of two couples and their families. Ryan captures both the sweep of history and the mundane nature of everyday life by using a narrator that takes turns experiencing events from the four main characters’ points of view. One reviewer wrote, “If you enjoy a good multi-generational saga chock-full of secrets, lies, regrets, deception and drama, you’ll love Buckeye.” Doris Orff will lead the discussion.
Club meetings are open to all residents who read the book. If you wish to be added to the HP Book Club mailing list, please email me.
