160 players hit the links on a hot, sultry Fourth of July… 80 on the Royal course, and 80 on Sabal. Festive outfits of red, white and blue – as well as many stars and stripes – were seen everywhere, and the flag pins sported patriotic flags.
Players competed in four flights on each course. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th places earned $130, $120, $110, $100, and $90 respectively per team in Pro Shop credit. Teams also competed for skins in each flight, with $100 available per flight. A total of 16 skins were won.
The first-place winners per flight were:
Flight 1: BJ Hurst, Bobby Roberts, Porter Roberts, and Dave Ginter.
Flight 2: Sue & Stu Draper, and Donna & Roger Lussier.
Flight 3: Robin & Dan Becker, and Cheryl & Terry McPolin.

Following golf, players gathered in the Palms Dining Room to enjoy a delicious buffet.
