The Community Relations Committee held its last event on Monday, April 28 in the Activity Center. Keith Robbins, District Safety Administrator FDOT District 1, presented the “Safe System Approach,” a proactive shared approach to safety. Attendees learned about the six core principles to roadway safety which have been adopted by the U. S. Department of Transportation.

Also, on March 31, the CRC welcomed Carol Obermeier, Director of Air Service Development at the Lee County Port Authority. She shared many surprising details about the impact of RSW and Page Field operations on SW FL, as well as throughout the world. She graciously shared her PowerPoint slides and her presentation is posted on our website.

Looking ahead to 2026, the CRC will be holding events on the first Monday of the month at 4 p.m. in the Activity Center. Save these dates:
