Hello from the Golf Shop. Summer is winding down, and hopefully we can finish the season without any major storms. September marks the peak of the hurricane season so we are not out of the woods yet. So far, it has been a drier-than-normal summer, very similar to last year. Reciprocal play continues to be strong as Heritage Palms remains one of the most sought-after reciprocal destinations in the area thanks to our consistently outstanding course conditions and member experience.
Clark Construction is nearing completion of the Sabal bunker renovation project. They have proven to be an excellent choice for the job, as their organization, equipment, and manpower have resulted in a well-executed and highly efficient project. We look forward to showcasing the finished product this fall.
The Golf Course Maintenance team is also completing its final round of summer cultural practices on the Sabal Course. We plan to have all 36 holes open for play beginning October 12.
Men’s and Ladies’ Leagues will kick off in early November. Registration emails for the 2026-27 season will be distributed soon through Golf Genius, so be sure to watch your inbox for additional information.
Please also mark your calendars for the 2026 Heritage Palms Veterans Association Tournament, which will be held on Sunday, October 25, with a 9 a.m. shotgun start utilizing all 36 holes. Please see the HPVA flyer elsewhere in this issue. Additional event details will be shared in the coming weeks.
Reciprocal season continues through the end of October. When requesting reciprocal tee times, please remember to provide the Golf Shop with several course options, and a reasonable time window. As seasonal members begin returning to SW FL, many clubs become increasingly busy, making early morning tee times more difficult to secure.
Space is still available for the 2026 Ladies Member-Guest on Monday, November 9. Registration information has been distributed through Golf Genius. If you experience any issues registering, please contact the Golf Shop and we’ll be happy to assist you.
