The HPPA held its first Pickleball Happy Hour Event on Monday, November 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. It was very successful despite the weather not cooperating. Wind gusts were steady at 20 to 30 mph, and temperatures quickly dropped into the low 50’s.
We had 62 people show up for the event and the Cabana stayed open for beverages and food. Several members were hoping to find some hot chocolate. Everyone had a great time, and we had many new faces show up at the Pickleball courts. We plan to hold more of these Happy Hour events in season. The tennis community has asked to join us at our next event in January, so all the courts will be lit up with social play and camaraderie.
