The HP Book Club will meet on Friday, May 9 at 2:30 p.m. in the Activity Center to discuss The Sicilian Inheritance by Jo Piazza. This historical fiction novel is rooted in the author’s own family history about a long-awaited trip to Sicily, a disputed inheritance, and a family secret that some will kill to protect. The book has two narrators, present- day Sara, and her great-grandmother Serefina, who lived in the early 1900’s. One reviewer wrote, “I enjoyed Piazza’s twisty narrative and complicated characters, especially her contemporary women, who are strong and feisty.”
Club meetings are open to all residents who read the book. If you wish to be added to the HP Book Club mailing list, please email me.
