It’s been a very active and fun season for the members of the HPPA, including a Welcome Back to Season Party, End of Season Party, Breakfast at the Courts, and three fun Round Robin Tournaments. But nothing beats the site of four new courts open for play.
The HPPA started with a few members in February, 2021, and is now 153 strong! There are also many HP residents who choose to just play pickleball. So, obviously these courts will get a lot of use! The courts opened last month.
The next task assigned to the HPPA, Chad Dyer and his staff, and the Tennis & Pickleball Committee, is how to use our six courts in the future. One new opportunity is joining a local pickleball league. It’s a very exciting time for our pickleball community.
The HPPA ended the season with a vote for new officers. Next season’s officers are: Bill Fechter, President; Larry Gutting, Vice President; Shari Cullen, Treasurer; Pam Hendricks, Secretary; and Members at Large – Lynn Roberts, Becky Stokes, Debbie Egan, Tim Cullen and Cheryl Penkalski (photo videography).
