It’s been a very disappointing off season at HP with numerous permit delays needed to begin the Pickleball Expansion Project. However, it will not dampen our passion for the sport or our quest for completing this project, which the majority of members supported, and which was approved by the Board last December.
The Heritage Palms Pickleball Association (HPPA) is a very active and growing association. The purpose of the HPPA is to promote the game of pickleball; to provide recommendations relative to the operation of the pickleball programs and maintenance of the pickleball facility; and to provide organized social pickleball events.
Below is a tentative list of the upcoming HPPA events. At some point we will add a “Grand Opening” for the additional Pickleball Courts and Tennis Court.
- Pop up HPPA Membership Signups at the Pickleball Courts (dates TBD)
- Back in Season Party – January 12 in the Palms Dining Room (Back up location: the Tennis Courts if unavailable)
- Tournament Dates:
- #1 Men and Women’s Round Robin – January 22-23
- #2 Men and Women’s Round Robin – February 22-23
- Mixed Doubles – March 9, in coordination with the Tennis Program for the “Gwen’s Wish” Play It Forward Charity
- End of Season Party – the evening of March 10 at the Tennis/PB Courts
Should you like to join the HPPA, simply call the Tennis/Pickleball Pro Shop and they’ll add you to our list of members. The season’s $20 membership fee will be charged to your HP account.
